Office of the Dean

The office of the Dean directs the Faculty in accordance with § 90 HmbHG. The Dean of the Faculty "Psychology and Human Movement Science" includes one Dean and two Vice Deans. The Dean's term of office is five years. The term of office of the Vice Dean is three years. They are elected by the Faculty Council. The head of the Faculty management takes part in the meetings of the Deanery in an advisory capacity.

The duties of the Dean `s office include managing the budget allocated by the Presidium, deciding on the allocation of positions within the Faculty and deciding on teaching responsibilities. In addition, the Dean `s office deals with the creation of proposals for granting professors benefits, with the forwarding of appointment proposals and the adoption of proposals for negotiations on residence, and with the creation of proposals for the organization in the Faculty.
